Inclusive Language in Healthcare

Healthcare providers are mission-driven to create healthier communities. That means everyone in the community. And that means, as marketers, we must use inclusive language in order to fulfill the mission of providing healthcare services to the entire community.

Using inclusive language means recognizing and acknowledging all people, regardless of race, religion, culture, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical abilities and intellectual abilities. Not only does the use of inclusive language ensure that patients are getting the care they need, but it also plays a role in customer experience.

Figuring out how to do this requires a thoughtful approach. We’re here to help. We’ve done the research and the top level thinking to help you figure out how to bring a more inclusive approach to your marketing.
